Our history

It is now more than forty years since we embarked upon our mission to recover paper and cardboard in Mallorca. Four years later we also began production and processing of tissue paper at the same plant.

In 2006 we acquired new properties in Marratxí and Ses Veles (Mallorca) to expand the business and grow the recovery and production of recycled tissue paper.

Six years later, we moved paper production from Marratxí to La Torre de Caramunt and Igualada (Barcelona) after acquiring and renovating our facilities there. We converted the Marratxí plant into a centre for the stockpiling and management of waste for recycling. That same year, we reached production of 14,000 tonnes annually.

In 2015, renovation of the Torre de Claramunt facility and the acquisition of new machinery allowed us to improve productivity, the quality of the product and optimise the use of resources. We managed to reduce consumption of gas by 30%, electricity by 6% and reduce the cost of maintenance by 42%. Our production capacity increased up to 21,000 tonnes annually.

Two years later, we began to market the Ismax natural range in bio chain stores and the retail sector. We acquired a new plant and rewinding line in Sant Joan de Mediona and received the CEPYME/ENDESA Award for sustainability and energy efficiency, a landmark for the company.

In 2021, we entered full operation of the Sant Joan de Mediona plant, assuming three new lines of conversion and expanding production capacity. This year, we also reached the capacity to manufacture 30,000 tonnes of paper per year.
